1. Policy for contest and coupons

We honor coupons based on one per email address or, IP address, or last name or phone number.
Any duplication of any one component on our online reservation list automatically voids the transaction.
We check our reservation list to verify the authenticity of each downloaded winning voucher.
All contest winners must book using our online reservation system link on the downloaded contest voucher or in person mentioning the contest voucher over the phone to be eligible and a credit card number must also be available to guarantee your intentions.

3. Do you have discount rates for children?

Yes. Children 12yrs and under are 1/2 price. Children 5yrs and under are free. During the summer, we offer special Kid's Day cruises where kids, 12yr and under are free when accompanied by a paying adult.

The exception to this discount is on the 'All Day Fall Colour Cruise' where children are not recommended and therefore do not receive a discount.

Please note that during cruises children are the immediate responsibility of the accompanying adult.

4. Are deposits Required

Yes we require a Credit Card to hold a Thursday Nite BBQ booking.

All special event food cruises (weddings etc) require a $500.00 deposit at the time of booking, and another $500.00 2 weeks before the event and payment in full on the day of the event.

Non Food party cruises require $250 at time of booking and payment in full before we depart.

5. Is there a senior's rate?

Yes. Monday is seniors day, 10% off.
This discount is available only during the Summer Season

6. Is the ship wheelchair accessible?

Yes. The first deck of the ship is entirely wheelchair accessible, as are the washrooms (located on the first deck). The ticket office is wheelchair accessible as well.

7. Is Gratuity included

On all public cruises it is not charged or expected, if the crew has been exceptionally help full a token of your appreciation is always appreciated.

Weddings etc and host bars we charge 15% which goes directly to the staff involved with the event.
It is always preferable to pay the gratuity portion of the event in cash directly to the staff.

8. What is your refund policy

We will refund any public sightseeing cruise in full up to the day of cruise if necessary and any food cruise with 48 hours notice.

Tickets for the all day cruises are not refundable at all but are totally transferable.

Deposits for special event cruises, weddings anniversaries etc. are non refundable in the event of a cancellation unless a cruise of equal value can be re-booked in it's place.

9. Where can we park?

There is ample free parking at dockside.
Come down Mississagua St follow through to Centennial Dr past the boat and park in the harbour parking area,or turn right off Mississsagua St and drive past the Legion to the large parking area adjacent Veterans Park

10. Can we bring alcohol on board?

No, due to government health and safety regulations and company policy. All large bags coming aboard will be randomly checked. You'll be happy to know, we are licensed by the LLBO and have a fully stocked bar.

11. Is smoking allowed on board?

Yes. Cigarettes only, We have an open deck at the lower back of the vessel, absolutely no cigars or strong pipes

12. When can we board the ship?

Boarding begins 15 minutes prior to your departure time.

13. How early should we arrive at dockside?

It is best to arrive at dockside 30 minuntes before the cruise departs. This will allow you to pick up your tickets and prepare for boarding, which begins 15 minutes prior to your departure time. There is shopping at dockside in a variety of gift shops.

14. Are pets allowed on board?

Pets are discouraged from being taken on board. Pets are only allowed on board for the sightseeing cruises only,and they must remain in a kennel provided by the owner.Pets are not allowed on cruises with food service or the all day Sparrow Lake Lunch Cruise

15. Is there anything else to do in Orillia?

16. Where is Orillia?

Orillia is a beautiful 1 hours drive north of Toronto. Please see our maps for directions to, and within, Orillia.

17. Can you book me a motel/hotel room?

We would prefer if passengers booked their own rooms if they plan on staying overnight. Although, we suggest you read about our package deal with Sunshine Getaway, which includes an overnight stay. If you are not interested in a package deal, then you will find our hotels page helpful.

18. Is the Island Princess safe?

Yes. The Island Princess is thoroughly inspected annually by the Canadian Coast Guard. The ship is one of Canada's newest and most modern cruise ships. We take great pride in the fact that for over 25 years we have enjoyed safely introducing people to Lake Country.

19. What is the best time to come for a Fall Colour Cruise?

The best time to take a Fall Colour Cruise varies from year to year but generally in the last two weeks of September and the first two weeks of October.

20. What should I wear?

What you should wear depends on the time of year you are cruising and the weather on the day of your cruise. It is always wise to bring layers of clothing so you can add layers if you are cool or take layers off if you are warm. Always bring a hat and/or sunscreen to protect yourself from the sun and please remember that the ship does have heat for our early spring and late fall cruises.

21. What should I bring?

Bring your camera, binoculars, and comfortable shoes. Please remember that there are washrooms on board as well a snack and drink bar.

22. Can we get special meals for food allergies?

Yes, as long as you call 48 hours before the cruise with the specifics of the food allergy
